Spanish attacker wants Manchester United transfer
Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio has reportedly decided to pursue a fresh challenge with Manchester United being his preferred destination ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old has endured a frustrating spell under Santiago Solari and Sunday's clash against Real Valladolid witnessed just his second league start of the year.
According to Don Balon, the Spaniard is aware of the long-term interest from the Red Devils and he could be eager to link up with them when the transfer window reopens.
However, the attacker stance may yet change entirely with reports emerging that Zinedine Zidane could return to the helm of things at Real Madrid before the end of the season
Zidane made a surprise resignation from the managerial role last summer but he appears on course for a sensational comeback after being promised funds to spend when the campaign comes to a close.
Meanwhile, Asensio has enjoyed a good season with Los Blancos despite his limited gametime and he has contributed a combined 13 goals and assists across all competitions.
