Barcelona make transfer decision on Antoine Griezmann
Barcelona have reportedly decided against making a renewed approach to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid at the end of the campaign.
The France international was heavily linked with the Blaugrana during the summer of 2018 but he made the decision to sign a new long-term deal with Atleti.
However, this has not ceased the speculation regarding his future and recent reports have indicated that Atleti could part ways with the forward, who has a £102m release clause on his contract.
According to ESPN FC, the Catalan giants are unlikely to make a fresh approach to sign the former Real Sociedad man despite concerns over the fitness of Luis Suarez.
It is added that the club are rather looking for a natural striker to replace the Uruguayan while they are not keen on matching Griezmann's wage package at Atleti.
Griezmann has endured a stop-start season with Atleti and he has failed to score or assist in the past six games for the club. This has dropped Atleti 10 points behind Barcelona at the top of the league standings.
