Arsenal on-loan player Denis Suarez slams training rumours

Suarez: on verge of Arsenal exit?

Arsenal midfielder Denis Suarez has hit out at rumours that Unai Emery is unhappy with performances of the on-loan player, with Suarez insisting he is performing well and slamming the reports on his own personal Twitter account. Emery worked with Suarez at Sevilla.

Suarez is in North London on a temporary basis from Barcelona and there is talk that Unai Emery will not make a permanent 20 million euro move for the midfielder after being unimpressed with the youngster's showings in a Gunners shirt since his January arrival.

Suarez wrote on Twitter: "Working hard, learning and improving. PS: dont talk about my workouts if you have no idea."

It is understood Arsenal have first option to sign the midfielder on a permanent basis and it had been hoped that Suarez would be a like for like replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey, but it appears the Gunners will have to scour the transfer market for another alternative this summer.

Earlier in the week, Suarez had told reporters of his Arsenal spell so far: "My aim is to be a success here, perform well and feel important. I’d like to become an important player at the club. I joined Arsenal to get a lot of playing time, to be an important player and feel important."
