Arsenal receive Alaba boost?

Arsenal have reportedly received a boost in signing David Alaba from Bayern Munich following the recruitment of Lucas Hernandez by the Bundesliga giants.

Alaba has experienced another strong season with the Bavarian giants in the domestic league and the club are currently just two points behind Borussia Dortmund in the race for the title.

Despite this, there seem concerns over his future beyond the current campaign, with the signing of Hernandez likely to hamper his chances of securing regular gametime at the club.

According to The Independent, the Bundesliga holders may consider the Austrian's sale in the summer with Hernandez recruited from Atletico Madrid with the means of cementing the left-back role with the club.

The report adds that the Gunners could hold a slender advantage in pursuing the versatile defender, considering the Austrian has previously revealed his fondness of the north London side.

Alaba has made nearly 350 appearances for Bayern Munich since graduating through the youth system nine years ago. He has won seven Bundesliga titles, one Champions League and three DFB-Pokal crowns.
