Pochettino refuses to guarantee his own future to Spurs
Mauricio Pochettino has again taken a moment to provide reporters with a further mystery regarding his own situation at Tottenham manager, insisting that you never know what happens in football. Poch has recently been linked with moves to both Real Madrid and Man Utd, but recent newly appointed managers at those clubs seem to tie the Argentine to the White Hart Lane outfit for the foreseeable future.
Liverpool and Tottenham go head to head today in a huge battle in the Premier League and regardless of the outcome, many Spurs fans will continue to believe that Pochettino is the man to do the job at the helm.
Spurs have lost 9 games so far this Premier League season and a defeat to high flying Liverpool would put the Anfield club back in favorites spot for the league title.
Spurs, on the other hand, are battling for a fourth-place spot that will guarantee Champions League football next year. That is worrying in itself, and also that Pochettino again took time to comment on his own future: “It’s the same question as two months ago, three months ago. It does not depend only on me, it’s about [owner] Daniel [Levy] too. Tottenham is bigger than one person. Always, I need to fight every day to keep my position. Football changes very quick.”
