Arsenal to make move for Benito Raman
Arsenal will make a move to sign Fortuna Dusseldorf striker Benito Raman in the summer transfer window, according to multiple reports. The talented 24-year-old, who is comfortable playing as a lone-striker or on either flank, has been monitored by the Gunners' scouting network after an impressive haul this season for his German club.
Raman, a former Belgium under-21 international forward, could be available for a cut-price 14 million euros after Dusseldorf admitted that it would be unlikely they could keep their star player in 2019-20 season.
Raman has been somewhat of a journeyman through his career, playing for two years for Standard Liege and a few years for Gent. He joined Dusseldorf in 2018 and has since scored 9 goals in 24 games for the German side.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is expected to be a busy man during the summer as he looks to revamp his squad for a title-chasing effort next year, hoping to bring in at least 5 new faces to his squad to replace the outgoing Aaron Ramsey and likely departure of fellow British international Danny Welbeck.
