Tottenham join Arsenal in the race to sign Roma starlet

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined arch-rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Nicolo Zaniolo from AS Roma at the end of the campaign.
The north London side have failed to spend in the past two transfer windows but that is likely to change in the summer where manager Mauricio Pochettino will be guaranteed with funds.
According to The Mail, Pochettino could be prepared to allocate a significant chunk of the £60m summer budget for the signing of Giallorossi starlet Zaniolo.
Zaniolo joined the Giallorossi for just £4m from Inter Milan last summer, but he has since impressed in the club's shirt with six goals and two assists across all competitions.
Moreover, most of his standout displays have come in the second half of the season, which have attracted interest from some of Europe's elite clubs.
Zaniolo is currently valued at around £35m by Roma and reports claim that Spurs could have the advantage over Arsenal, given the latter are working on a much restricted £45m budget.
The Gunners are likely to increase the transfer kitty with the club's qualification for the Champions League but that remains far from guaranteed at the moment.
