Arsenal consider new deal for injured forward?
Arsenal are reportedly planning to hand a new long-term contract to Danny Welbeck with manager Unai Emery understood to be an admirer of the player's talents.
The England international has been with the north London giants since the summer of 2014 but he has been restricted to just 88 league appearances after suffering three long-term injuries.
Despite this, The Mirror claims that he could have a future beyond the current campaign when his contract expires with head coach Emery eager to work with him following his injury comeback.
The likes of Everton and West Ham United are understood to have made contact with the player's representative but the forward is likely to prefer a Gunners stay, should a contract agreement be finalised.
Welbeck is currently in the rehabilitation phase after a surgery on a broken ankle and he is in line to make a comeback during the club's pre-season tour of the United States in the summer.
