Manchester United planning summer swoop for Atletico Madrid star?
Manchester United have reportedly received a boost in signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid with Barcelona having second thoughts over a move for the Frenchman.
The France international has already confirmed that he would be leaving the Madrid giants at the end of the season and this has constantly linked him with a move to the Bernabeu.
According to Sport, a section of the Blaugrana dressing room are not keen on the pursuit of Griezmann, and this could offer United with the edge in signing the World Cup winner.
Like Barcelona, United have held a long-term interest in the forward and reports suggest that he has been earmarked as a probable replacement for Romelu Lukaku in their ranks.
Atletico are said to demand the player's £108m release clause in full for a summer sale and it remains to be seen whether United will match the price tag ahead of other suitors including Bayern Munich.
