Liverpool in talks to sign experienced German striker?

Max Kruse news

Liverpool in for Kruse?

Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Max Kruse, who is available on a free transfer when his contract expires with Werder Bremen next month.

The 31-year-old has recently been linked with a whole host of European clubs after contributing 12 goals and 14 assists during the course of the recent campaign.

According to Sport1, the Reds are one of the clubs keen on securing his services and representatives from the club have already made contact with the 14-time Germany international.

Kruse has bagged 35 goals across all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit since joining them from fellow league side Wolfsburg in the summer of 2016.

With Daniel Sturridge likely to leave Anfield this summer, the Reds appear to have identified him as a potential back-up option behind Roberto Firmino for the centre-forward role.

Liverpool are scheduled to end their season with a Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid. A victory in that game would end their trophy drought which has extended to more than seven years.
