Manchester United plotting move for highly-rated Lyon midfielder?
Manchester United could reportedly make a formal approach to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, should Paul Pogba make the move to Real Madrid this summer.
Los Blancos have been regularly linked with Pogba in the past few weeks and reports have indicated that they could make a big-money approach as they seek to bolster their midfield ranks further.
Amidst this, The Metro claims that United are looking at the possibility of Pogba leaving the club and his compatriot Ndombele has been earmarked as a potential replacement.
Still, they are unlikely to make an official approach for his services unless it becomes clear that Pogba could be heading through the exit door during the summer transfer window.
Ndombele, who has featured 48 times for Lyon this term, has also caught the eye of the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain through his impressive showing.
Manchester City, in particular, are said to have failed with an opening bid for his services and they could pose the biggest threat to the Red Devils in the player's pursuit.
