European giants leading the race to sign James Milner?

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing a surprise contract package for James Milner, whose contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season.

Milner has been an influential figure for the Reds this term despite his trailing age but it remains unclear whether he will extend his contract beyond the summer.

It has recently been claimed that he could prefer a return to Leeds United, but Le Parisien reports that Paris Saint-Germain could make a surprise swoop for the former Manchester City star.

The French champions are expected to sign Ander Herrera on a free transfer as part of a summer rebuild and they seem keen on adding more experience in the centre of the park in the form of Milner.

Milner is widely expected to start the Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend and a victory would assure the Reds of a major silverware while ending their trophy drought which has extended to seven years.
