Manchester United make Declan Rice transfer decision
Manchester United have reportedly given up in their pursuit of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, given the Hammers are unlikely to listen to any offers.
The England international only signed a new long-term deal with the Hammers in December but he has been touted to make a big-money move to Old Trafford during the ongoing transfer window.
However, according to Evening Standard, the Red Devils seem to have accepted defeat in the player's chase, considering they are unlikely to tempt the Hammers into a sale with their proposal in hand.
Rice has been valued at around £50m by multiple outlets, but it appears that the Hammers are demanding a far more significant sum which has put off United from lodging an approach.
Still, United are continuing the search for potential additions and Sporting's Bruno Fernandes has recently emerged as an option to bolster the midfield after his fantastic season on an individual scale.
Fernandes, who is currently with the Portuguese national side for the Nations League finals, contributed a staggering tally of 32 goals and 18 assists for Sporting last term from the centre of the park.
