Chelsea defender Ola Aina has sealed a permanent move to the Serie A with Torino following a successful loan spell with the side during the previous campaign.

The 22-year-old came through the youth ranks with the Blues but he managed just six first-team appearances - all of which came under Antonio Conte during the 2016/17 campaign.

After a successful loan stint last term, Torino had the option to sign the defender on a permanent basis and they have exercised the same to pursue the Nigeria international.

A statement on the Blues official website read: "Everyone at Chelsea Football Club would like to thank Ola for his services and we wish him the best of luck for the next stage in his career."

Aside from Ola Aina, the Blues have also sanctioned the sale of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, but they won't be able to make the most of the money recouped unless they overcome their transfer ban.

The Blues are currently under a two window transfer embargo for breaking rules pertaining under-18 players and they have recently appealed for the same at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
