Liverpool have reportedly revived their interest in signing Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir after missing out on his services during the 2018 summer transfer window.

The Frenchman was on the brink of sealing a £53m move to Anfield last summer but the deal broke through at the 11th hour due to issues with a second medical with the club.

Despite this, he has continued to be linked with the Reds at separate intervals and Le Progres claims that the club are now ready to make a fresh attempt to land his signature.

At present, Fekir has just 12 months remaining on his contract with Lyon and reports indicate that he could be available for a significantly lower price than previously quoted by Les Gones.

Still, it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman would be satisfied with limited gametime with the Reds, considering Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to tinker with the current combination for the starting lineup next term.
