Liverpool make transfer decision on Nicolas Pepe
Liverpool have reportedly decided against making a move for Nicolas Pepe with manager Jurgen Klopp content with the options at his disposal.
The 24-year-old recently had a stellar season with Lille with 22 goals and 11 assists in the French Ligue 1, and that helped his team secure the runner-up spot while qualifying for the Champions League.
Despite this, the attacker is said to hold the ambition of pursuing a bigger challenge elsewhere but the Reds seem unlikely to lodge an approach for his services.
According to Evening Standard, the Merseyside outfit have decided against lodging an offer for the Ivorian and they are focused on only making minor changes to the current squad.
Pepe is currently said to be available for around £60m but Klopp believes the money could be spent on strengthening the bench options, given he is satisfied with the options for the starting XI.
With Liverpool out of contention, Bayern Munich seem the favourites to sign Pepe as they seek to cover the void left by the departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
