Arsenal boss keen on signing 27-year-old Ligue 1 winner
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reportedly keen on securing the signature of Thomas Meunier and he has already made contact with the Paris Saint-Germain defender.
The Gunners are expected to be without Hector Bellerin for the beginning of next season through a knee injury and this has supposedly encouraged the need for a new signing at right-back with Ainsley Maitland-Niles being inconsistent.
According to RMC Sport, Emery is said to have made personal contact with the Belgium international in order to convince him to snub interest from elsewhere and join the club.
However, the north London side are still reluctant to meet Les Parisiens' £30m asking price for the defender, considering they are working on a limited pre-sales budget of just £45m.
Apart from the Gunners, Manchester United are the other Premier League side, who have been regularly associated with Meunier, and they could hold the edge with the Belgian being a boyhood fan of the club.
