West Ham table new Salomon Rondon bid
West Ham have made a renewed offer for West Bromwich Albion attacker Salomon Rondon, believed to be in the region of around £15 million. The attacker, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle United, was unable to agree personal terms with the Toon Army.
Rondon is one of the Premier League's most feared striker's in recent seasons and West Ham are seeking a new attacker to replace the likes of Andy Carroll, who has already left the club and both Marko Arnautovic and Chicharito, whom are expected to leave the Hammers for pastures new during this transfer window.
West Ham had their opening transfer offer of £12 million rejected for the Venezuelan international, but are confident their new offer will be sufficient.
The 29-year-old, who scored 11 Premier League goals last season, is seen as a like for like replacement for the departing Andy Carroll and would be available on a cut price transfer due to his contract expiring in 2020.
Newcastle are still in the race for the player, but it is understood that Rondon would prefer a move to London.
