Everton lining up shock move for ex-Chelsea striker
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is reportedly planning a shock move for Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa as he aims to make a statement signing for the club.
The Spaniard enjoyed good success with the Blues where he contributed 52 goals in three Premier League seasons before making the switch to Atletico in January 2018.
According to The Mail, the Merseyside outfit are eyeing a new marksman to lead the line next term and Moshiri has set his sights on luring Costa back to the Premier League.
The same publication claims the Toffees are prepared to offload the likes of Yannick Bolasic, Kevin Mirallas and Cenk Tosun to recoup funds for the potential transfer of Costa to the club.
Costa has endured a strained relationship since making the move to Atletico and he struggled to find form during the previous campaign before being handed an eight-game domestic ban for insulting a referee.
Atletico are likely to demand at least £50m for the Spaniard.
