Victor Wanyama to leave Spurs this summer?
Kenyan international defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama could be on the cusp of a Tottenham departure, after the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon. It is understood that Spurs will accept a fee of around £13 million for Victor Wanyama and that there are several suitors in the Premier League.
It is understood that Wanyama's former club Southampton have joined French side Monaco, German club Werder Bremen and Spanish side Real Betis in pursuit of the former Celtic player, with Tottenham ready to sell the midfielder as manager Mauricio Pochettino begins a summer rebuilding programme during the transfer window.
Wanyama has played 93 games in all competitions since his arrival from Southampton in 2016 but is unlikely to play very often next year as Spurs look to free up some funds to sign other new players.
The 28-year-old is still highly rated at Tottenham, but chairman Daniel Levy has encouraged Pochettino to sell some of the club's highest earning players in order to bring in new faces ahead of the 2019/20 campaign that begins in August.
