Ole Gunnar Solskjaer drops update on Romelu Lukaku
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Romelu Lukaku was excluded from the pre-season friendly against Leeds United, given he has yet to recover from a knock picked up in training.
The Belgian's future has come under regular speculation in the past few weeks with Inter Milan said to hold a strong interest in landing his signature.
However, the Nerazzurri have not been able to meet United's £75m asking price to date and it appears that the striker may remain at Old Trafford next term.
Despite this, the marksman has not made an appearance for the Red Devils in pre-season and speaking after the 4-0 win over Leeds, Solskjaer reiterated that the Belgian was excluded from the playing squad due to a knock.
Inter are understood to be in regular discussions with the Red Devils regarding the striker, but they seem unlikely to find the breakthrough with Solskjaer's side reluctant to lower their valuation.
