Leicester City set Harry Maguire transfer deadline
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has set a time limit on a move away from the club for Harry Maguire. The England international centre-back, who has long been linked with a move to Man Utd, is the subject of £70 million transfer interest from the Old Trafford side.
In the interest of his own club, Foxes manager Rodgers has informed Man Utd that they must wrap up a deal - if at all - for Maguire by a set date.
Rodgers quipped: “We can't leave ourselves short.
“There are obviously targets we have in mind if Harry was to move on. But we don't have to sell and we don't need to sell.
“If the valuation isn't met, it certainly won't be allowed to go to the very end because if we did want to bring someone in it would be too late so there will be a point in time where even if the valuation is met, it may be too late.”
It is understood that Maguire is ready to move to Manchester United, but the club are not yet ready to meet Leicester City's valuation.
