Zenit to win race for Malcom
Zenit St Petersburg are set to sign Malcom from Barcelona this summer in a surprise transfer deal. The Brazilian winger, who has been linked with a host of Premier League teams, are set to agree a 40 million euro transfer move for the former Bordeaux star.
Since his arrival at the Nou Camp, Malcom has struggled to find first team football and the player and his agent have sought a transfer away from Barca this summer.
With numerous teams interested, including the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd, a move to Russia will surprise many and is a huge coup for Zenit.
According to Football-Espana, the club will pay a club record fee to sign Malcom and the player will earn more than 150,000 euros per week at his new team.
With Arsenal having switched their attentions to signing Nicolas Pepe from Lille, a transfer for Malcom has fallen through. It is understood that Manchester United have opted against a move for the Brazilian, favouring to bring through youth players for the season ahead.
