Manchester United demand Douglas Costa in Romelu Lukaku deal with Juventus
Manchester United are hoping to pursue the signature of Douglas Costa from Juventus in a move which would see Romelu Lukaku head in the opposite direction.
The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move to the Turin giants this summer and it has been suggested that Paulo Dybala could be offered in exchange for the striker.
However, Dybala does not seem open to the idea of joining the Red Devils and The Mail claims that the Red Devils have switched their attention towards signing Costa, who was on their radar last summer.
Costa had a tough 2018/19 season with troublesome calf and hamstring concerns and he ended the campaign with just one goal for the Serie A champions.
Still, he is highly rated within the Red Devils ranks and they have proposed to sign him as a makeweight in a player-plus-cash deal for the outgoing Lukaku.
Lukaku has been fancied to join Inter Milan over the past month but the Nerazurri seem to have ended their pursuit with the Red Devils reluctant to reduce their £80m price tag.
