Andre Schurrle to move to Spartak Moscow

Borussia Dortmund are to allow German international attacker Andre Schurrle to leave on loan for yet another season, with the player moving to Russian side Spartak Moscow. Schurrle had an unsuccessful loan campaign in the Premier League last year, being a part of Fulham's unfortunate relegation campaign.

The 28-year-old has two years remaining on his deal at the Bundesliga side, but has been informed that he is surplus to requirements.

The former Chelsea man had hoped to make a permanent move to Fulham, but the West London side had instead opted to release the player at the end of his temporary spell.

Spartak Moscow will agree a deal on loan for Schurrle according to Russian news outlet Championat, with the player having the option to make a permanent transfer to Spartak if all goes to plan. It is understood that Spartak have agreed a fee of 8 million euros to make the deal permanent in 2020.

It is a huge discount on the 30 million euros that Dortmund paid for Schurrle back in 2016.
