Mario Mandzukic set for Man Utd?
Manchester United have made a shock switch in their search for a replacement for outgoing striker Romelu Lukaku, as the Old Trafford outfit appear to have agreed a deal worth £8 million to sign Mario Mandzukic from Juventus. The burly forward will arrive in Manchester for talks on Monday afternoon and sign a three-year contract with the Premier League giants.
United's efforts to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus took an unwelcome turn as the Argentine forward decided against leaving the "Old Lady" on a mega-money transfer move, instead staying with Maurizio Sarri's side and fighting for a place in the first-team.
United have been forced to search elsewhere for a new striker and appear to have decided on a move for 33-year-old Mandzukic to fill the gap that will be left by Lukaku.
According to the Daily Mail, a report indicates that Mandzukic will earn 7 million euros a year at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and will be leading the line for United this season.
United will beat interest from Spanish side Real Betis in a move for Mandzukic.
