Ake on Man City radar

Manchester City are still looking into a move for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake as they seek to strengthen the heart of the backline.

The Citizens have yet to find a replacement for the departed Vincent Kompany but manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that he is pleased with the current options at hand.

Despite this, The Express claims that the Premier League holders will seek to pursue a central defender before the transfer deadline and Ake has been earmarked as the prime target.

Ake, who is currently rated at £40m, has been monitored by the Citizens for a while but they may need to make an approach in the next few days, considering the Cherries will want time to secure a replacement.

Elsewhere, Leroy Sane continues to be linked with an exit from the club with Bayern Munich interested. Should the German part ways, Isco from Real Madrid has been identified as a potential replacement option.
