Manchester United have reportedly ended their pursuit of Juventus' Mario Mandzukic ahead of Thursday's Premier League transfer deadline.

Mandzukic was recently touted to make the move to Old Trafford with the Red Devils bracing themselves for the departure of Romelu Lukaku in a swap deal involving Paul Dybala.

However, things have changed over the past few days with Dybala expected to remain with the Bianconeri and that seems to have influenced United's decision over Mandzukic.

According to Tuttosport, the Red Devils are now unlikely to sign the former Croatia international, given Lukaku could stay put for the upcoming campaign.

Juventus are unlikely to meet the £80m asking price for Lukaku following the breakdown in talks over the exchange deal and it remains to be seen whether they will propose a fresh swap move with another player.

On the other hand, Inter Milan are understood to be weighing up a fresh offer for the Belgium international after their initial £54m bid was swiftly knocked back.
