Dimitar Berbatov suggests Manchester United's asking price for Paul Pogba
Former Manchester United star Dimitar Berbatov believes the Red Devils are unlikely to sanction the sale of midfielder Paul Pogba in the next fortnight, unless Real Madrid come up with a £200m bid.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer and reports suggest that the midfielder has not given up on the move with the Spanish transfer window only closing on September 2.
As such, there has been continued speculation over the player's future and Berbatov, who remains a fan favourite at United, has claimed that a fee in the region of £200m could tempt the Red Devils to do business with Los Blancos.
"If United receive a bid from Madrid in the next fortnight in the region of £200m, then the transfer will happen. But I hope Pogba stays at United and I don't think Zidane will quit Madrid if he fails to sign his compatriot," he told Betfair.
Pogba recently played through the entire 90 minutes of the club's season opener against Chelsea at Old Trafford where he contributed a couple of assists in a convincing 4-0 triumph.
