Unai Emery speaks on Dani Ceballos' man of the match performance
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been impressed with the performance of midfielder Dani Ceballos, who contributed a couple of assists in the club's 2-1 win over Burnley.
The Spain international made his maiden Premier League start on Saturday and he dominated the proceedings in the midfield by excelling in every attribute on the day.
As a result, he was handed with the man of the match accolade and speaking after the game, Emery spoke about the quality of the midfielder and his willingness to play in different positions.
“With him it’s about using his quality in the best position. I spoke with him before he came here, it’s to play as a number 8 and a number 10. Today he started like a 10 but also changed with Willock in the 8 position. It’s where he can feel better on the pitch," he told BT Sport.
With his contribution, Ceballos became only the third Gunners player after Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Ray Parlour to contribute two or more assists with his maiden Premier League start.
Arsenal have moved to second on the table after victories in back-to-back games. They are scheduled to face last season's runners-up Liverpool on the road on August 24.
