Gary Neville makes bold prediction on Manchester United's Paul Pogba
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has made a bold prediction by stating that midfielder Paul Pogba can be the Premier League Player of the Year.
The France international recently missed an important penalty in the Red Devils' 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road and that drew criticism from a section of the fans and pundits alike.
Neville was one of those, who was unimpressed with the midfielder's missed spotkick but he has nonetheless made a bold prediction that the Frenchman could be one of the standout performers of the campaign.
“I think he could be the player of the year. That sounds like a bold statement,” Neville told Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.“He has the potential to be the best player in this league. He has the biggest personality in this league."
Pogba has lacked the consistency in terms of performances through an entire season and that trend has continued during the early part of the current league campaign.
He is expected to feature for the Red Devils when they host Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend. United have an excellent record against the Eagles and have dropped just four points from the past 12 meetings.
