Arsenal handed major fitness boost ahead of Liverpool game
Arsenal have been handed a major fitness boost ahead of the Liverpool game with Mesut Ozil returning to regular training following an illness.
The former Germany international initially made his return to training alongside his teammates last week after reaching a solution over the security investigation related to the attempted car-jacking incident.
However, the attacker was not named in the matchday squad for the clash against Burnley due to a minor illness but he appears to have recovered ahead of the Merseyside trip.
In a series of pictures released by the club's official website, Ozil is seen participating in training ahead of the Reds game and he could potentially make the weekend clash, provided they are no setbacks.
Elsewhere, Granit Xhaka has also returned to the mix after a back problem but it remains to be seen whether the duo are considered to start against Jurgen Klopp's side on Saturday.
Arsenal are currently one of two teams including Liverpool with the perfect tally of six points after the opening two league games. They will be aiming for a positive result at Anfield this weekend after coming up with no points in the past three visits.
