Manchester United offer contract to Spanish striker?

Llorente to United?

Manchester United have reportedly offered former Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente with the opportunity to join the club this summer.

Llorente is available on a Bosman transfer following his release from Spurs last month and United have been one of the clubs touted to land his signature.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Red Devils are now looking at the prospect of signing the 34-year-old and they have presented him with a two-year deal.

The Red Devils have already sanctioned the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan this summer and the potential loan exit of Alexis Sanchez to the same outfit could leave them short in the centre-forward department.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are presently the senior striking options available for United and Llorente may be restricted to a substitute role at best in the Premier League.

The former Athletic Bilbao star contributed eight goals from 35 appearances for Spurs last term. He was recently offered with the chance to rejoin the north London side but turned them down due to concerns over a paycut.
