Chelsea open to selling 25-year-old midfielder
Chelsea are reportedly open to parting ways with midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko before the European transfer deadline closes on September 2.
The Frenchman joined the Blues from AS Monaco in the summer of 2017 but he has since struggled to settle with the west London side and spent the previous campaign on loan with AC Milan.
According to The Mirror, the midfielder is unlikely to feature under the tutelage of manager Frank Lampard and he is free to pursue a fresh challenge before the European transfer window closes.
The same publication cites that former club Monaco are leading the hunt for his signature and they have made a renewed proposal after their initial approach was turned down by the Blues.
The Principality are only keen on pursuing the Frenchman on a season-long loan but they are open to the prospect of signing him on a permanent basis next year, provided he can prove himself on his Ligue 1 comeback.
