Manchester United star refusing to sign new contract
France international Paul Pogba has reportedly made it clear that he won't be signing a new long-term deal with Manchester United.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer but a deal appears unlikely to happen before Monday's La Liga transfer deadline.
According to Marca, the Red Devils are keen on extending the stay of the World Cup winner but their chances are seemingly less with the midfielder determined to pursue a fresh challenge.
The same report states that 26-year-old is clearly against the idea of signing a new deal and will instead seek to force through a move to Los Blancos in the near future.
Pogba has two years remaining on his current deal with the Mancunian giants, but they do have the option of a 12-month extension to prolong his stay until the summer of 2022.
He has started the current season in decent fashion with a couple of assists but continues to remain the subject of criticism from the fans after average performances against Wolves and Crystal Palace.
