Manchester United boss was open to Paul Pogba exit?

Paul Pogba news

Solskjaer would have been open to Pogba's sale earlier this summer

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have sanctioned the sale of Paul Pogba, had a transfer deal been agreed earlier in the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman stated his intention to pursue a fresh challenge in June but no concrete offers were made for his services until the closing stages of the English transfer window.

As a result, the midfielder had to stay put with the Red Devils but things could have paved differently, had the likes of Real Madrid made an approach during the beginning of pre-season itself, The Mail claims.

It is added that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would not have stood in the way of the midfielder at that point of time and the transfer funds raised from the sale may have been entirely invested in bolstering the squad.

Pogba has two years remaining on his current deal with the Red Devils but the club have the option of prolonging his stay for another 12 months with the extension clause available.
