Youri Tielemans feels no stress from huge pricetag
Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, who made a move to the club on a permanent basis this summer, has told reporters that he feels no additional pressure from his huge pricetag. The Belgian international made a £40 million transfer switch to the Foxes away from Monaco in June.
The 22-year-old, who is very highly rated by manager Brendan Rodgers, has been an influential player for the club since his arrival last January on loan.
Some commentators have since suggested that Tielemans would feel the pressure of a hefty fee paid by Leicester City.
"During the transfer window, I was happy with the interest of some big clubs," said the midfielder.
"I had to make a choice for my young career and I think it was the good to arrive (at City) with the status of a transfer - €45m does not change anything.
"I was already known in Leicester, my period on loan went very well and I wanted to continue playing in this club."
It is understood that the Foxes beat Man Utd to capturing Tielemans' coveted signature.
