Neymar: Barcelona won't be his next destination

Barcelona will not make a move for Neymar in the January transfer window, despite missing out on re-signing the Brazilian international during the summer. The Paris St Germain striker is unhappy at the Ligue 1 side and has been constantly linked with a return to his former club.

Josep Maria Bartomeu has ruled out a return for the player, seemingly leaving Real Madrid as the sole suitors for the Brazilian international. Many Premier League teams have been interested in signing Neymar, but the striker is reportedly unwilling to move to England.

"He's not in the plans for January," Bartomeu said. "Barcelona couldn't meet PSG's demands [this summer]. Barcelona never offered players for Neymar, it was PSG that asked for them. We did everything possible to sign him. It's a fact that Neymar asked PSG to negotiate only with Barcelona. Lionel Messi didn't tell me to sign Neymar, that's a myth. The players don't have a say in signings."

Paris St Germain are ready to sell their star player for a fee of around 200 million euros.
