Chelsea confident of agreeing deal with teenage sensation
Chelsea are reportedly confident that Callum Hudson-Odoi will commit his future to the club on a long-term basis.
The 18-year-old has yet to feature in the current campaign following an Achilles injury, but he is not far off from making a comeback under new boss Frank Lampard.
According to Football.London, the Blues are not concerned with the position of Hudson-Odoi despite his current deal due to expire at the end of the 2019/2020 season.
The same report suggests that the club are working on a fresh deal with the young winger and a contract worth £180,000-a-week is set to be announced to reflect his importance to the team.
Hudson-Odoi has been training with the west London giants for the past three weeks and he is expected to be involved at sometime following the ongoing international break.
Aside from him, Reece James has also made his recovery following an ankle problem and he has been touted to replace Cesar Azpilicueta in the right-back position.
