Arsenal readying £50m bid to sign former club graduate?

Malen wanted back at Arsenal?

Arsenal are reportedly planning a January approach to sign PSV Eindhoven forward Donyell Malen, who has been in scintillating scoring form this season.

The Dutch forward has been leading the line this term with the departure of Luuk de Jong and he has flourished with 14 goals from 16 appearances including a brilliant quintuple in the 5-0 thumping of Vitesse last month.

According to Tuttosport, the north London side are aiming to make a winter offer to sign Malen, who was previously in their youth system between 2015 and 2017.

The Gunners sold the 20-year-old for just £540k to PSV two years ago but reports indicate that they could be prepared to pay nearly 100 times of that value to lure him back to the club.

Malen, who is expected to feature for the Netherlands during the forthcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers, has also caught the eye of Liverpool and AC Milan through his displays this term.

He has already earned two caps with the Dutch national side and scored the third goal during the country's 4-2 triumph over Germany in a Euro 2020 qualifier last month.
