Manchester United eyeing mid-season deal for Juventus star
Manchester United are reportedly planning an approach to sign former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
The Germany international has been with Juventus for little more than a year but he has already fallen down the selection order under current manager Maurizio Sarri.
A report earlier this week suggested that Can would prefer a return to the Premier League in January and he has already instructed his agent to open talks with the Red Devils.
According to Sky Sports News, United are also eager to push through a deal for the German at the turn of the year as they seek to bolster their options in the centre of the park.
With the departures of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini this year, the Red Devils have had to work with limited options in midfield and the likes of Fred and Nemanja Matic have failed to impress.
Scott McTominay has been the standout performer during the first few months of the season and he has not found much help from his other midfield teammates including Paul Pogba, who has been nursing an ankle concern.
