Former Liverpool player Dietmar Hamann has played up a potential move to Anfield for English starlet Jadon Sancho. Sancho is currently one of the most coveted players in world football and the 19-year-old has become an integral part of the Borussia Dortmund side despite his young age.

Hamann, in an interview with Sky German, played up the possibility of Liverpool making a move for the youngster, stating

"What I hear is that Liverpool has great interest, I would imagine that next summer they could become one of the biggest interested parties. He’s from Manchester City and I do not know if he would come back again, and it’s a thing for Manchester United, too, if they’ve ever been to the rivals.”

The Liverpool legend also stated that Sancho currently does not have a release clause, explaining that “Sancho does not have a release clause. If Dortmund say that they want an astronomical amount, it will not happen"

Since joining from Manchester City, Sancho has made 66 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 18 goals and assisting 30. This run of form has seen him getting called up for the English national team as well. Borussia Dortmund's Director, Michael Zorc has also said in the past that he does not expect Sancho to stay in Germany for long.

If Liverpool can get a deal over the line, there is no doubt that he can flourish under Jurgen Klopp's guidance.
