Odegaard on Red Devils radar

Manchester United are reportedly considering an approach to sign midfielder Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid when the campaign comes to a close.

The Norway international joined the Bernabeu giants as a 15-year-old during the summer of 2015 and has had loan spells with the likes of Heerenveen and Vitesse in the Dutch top-flight.

Presently, he is plying his trade for Real Sociedad on loan where he has already contributed two goals and three assists from an advanced midfield role and this has caught the eye of elite European sides.

According to Marca, Odegaard is content to stay put with Sociedad for the campaign and he may only return to Madrid when the current season reaches its conclusion.

It is added that United are one of the teams keeping an eye on the Norwegian and they are likely to make a tempting offer for the player's services next summer.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has placed a keen emphasis on bolstering the squad with young players. Aside from Odegaard, Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho has been regularly linked with a move to Old Trafford.
