Manchester United are unlikely to consider the option of signing Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, given they are concerned over the Welshman's injury record.

Bale was touted to leave the Spanish giants over the summer but he managed to win the confidence of manager Zinedine Zidane with a bright start to the league campaign.

Still, it has been regularly claimed that he could be offloaded in one of the next two transfer windows but United seem reluctant to consider any move for his signature.

According to The Mirror, United have no intention of landing the former Southampton graduate even if he is offered as part of a transfer proposal for Paul Pogba.

Elsewhere, the attacker's wages also remain a concern for the Red Devils and they are focused on pursuing younger targets, who can stay put with the club for the long term.

United picked up their first league win of the month at Carrow as they secured a comfortable 3-1 triumph over Norwich City. They should have won by a greater margin but werre guilty of missing two penalties.
