Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted that the club will assess the fitness of Marcus Rashford, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire ahead of the Premier League clash at Bournemouth.

The Red Devils sealed a third-straight away victory in midweek as they picked up a 2-1 triumph over Chelsea in the fourth round of the League Cup.

During that game, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford were substituted with knocks while Harry Maguire was in some discomfort during the closing stages of the tie.

Solskjaer has now revealed that the trio are likely to return to full training on Friday and it is still unclear whether they will make the starting lineup against the Cherries.

"It's still early. Hopefully we can get them back on the pitch tomorrow. They had some treatment yesterday, a little more treatment today, a light session and hopefully they're ready. I can't tell you exactly now," he told Sky Sports.

Manchester United are presently seventh in the Premier League standing. They are seven points adrift of Frank Lampard's Chelsea, who are occupying the final Champions League spot.
