Manchester United quoted price to sign Lautaro Martinez
Inter Milan have told Manchester United to come up with a bid of around £96m in order to land the signature of Lautaro Martinez next year.
The Argentine has made a strong start to the current campaign for the San Siro outfit and he has already amassed seven goals from 13 appearances.
According to Mundo Deportivo, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on signing a new striker despite the fact that Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have found their scoring touch in recent games.
Furthermore, it is added that Martinez is the prime target on their radar and he could be prised away from the Nerazzurri with a club-record package worth £96m.
The Nerazzurri have bolstered their frontline with the signings of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez (loan) from Manchester United over the summer and the former has been a regular from the starting XI.
Sanchez, however, remains on the sidelines following a recent ankle injury and it is unclear whether Nerazzurri will entertain any mid-season bids for Martinez.
United have registered three victories on the bounce and their most recent one came in the League Cup fourth round where they beat Chelsea by a 2-1 scoreline.
