Ibrahimovic wants AC Milan move

Zlatan Ibrahimovic appears set to turn down advances from former club Manchester United in order to rejoin AC Milan in the Serie A.

The 38-year-old's current deal with LA Galaxy expires at the end of the year and he has already talked up the ambition of returning to Europe.

Manchester United have been touted as potential candidates to sign him in recent days but Marca claims that the Rossoneri may have the edge over the Red Devils in the player's pursuit.

The former Sweden international played for the Rossoneri between 2010 and 2012 and he was hugely successful with 56 goals from 85 appearances and helped them win the Serie A crown.

Milan have struggled to score regular goals this term with Krzysztof Piatek failing to replicate the success from last season and Ibrahimovic could act as a stopgap option irrespective of his age.

Ibrahimovic has notched 53 goals from just 58 outings during his time in the MLS and it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his scoring touch when he faces a stiffer challenge in the Serie A.
