Lampard lauds Pulisic's performance at Watford

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has heaped praise on the recent performance of Christian Pulisic and fancies the attacker to continue with his good work in the forthcoming weeks.

The United States international initially struggled to secure a regular starting spot under Lampard but things have changed over the past two league games where he has scored four league goals.

Speaking after the 2-1 win over Watford, Lampard praised Pulisic for finding the net and stated that he would prefer the forward to remain selfish in front of goal.

"Christian and Willian, Willian takes people out of the game with his pace and I love that Christian scored a goal from four yards out," he was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

“He could have decided not to go the extra mile and that ball flashes across the face and no one gets on the end of it. If he continues doing that sort of thing then the goals will wrack up. His general performance was top as well."

Pulisic has averaged a goal or an assist in every 81 minutes for the Blues this season and he has now firmly cemented his spot on the left side of the attack ahead of Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Hudson-Odoi made a good start after his injury comeback with a goal or an assist for five straight games but recently, he has gone off the boil with a couple of poor displays.
