Arsenal receive boost in signing Real Madrid midfielder

Ceballos does not want Real Madrid return

Arsenal have received a potential boost in securing the permanent signature of Dani Ceballos, given the Spaniard has no intention of returning to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Spain international had been a bit-part player for Los Blancos in the past two seasons and he made the season-long loan move to the Emirates over the summer after Zinedine Zidane fail to assure him with gametime.

According to AS, Ceballos does not hold the idea of returning to the Bernabeu this summer, given he is unlikely to be provided with regular playing time under the guidance of Zidane.

Ceballos has already earned 15 appearances with the Gunners this term and out of those, nine have been from the starting lineup. The club don't have the option to buy him next summer but reports suggest that a £30m fee could be sufficient to land the midfielder's services on a permanent basis.

The former Real Betis man has more than three years remaining on his existing deal with Los Blancos. Manchester City are understood to be monitoring his situation and could yet compete with the Gunners for his signature.
