Manchester United quoted price for Erling Haaland

Manchester United have reportedly been told that they must pay a fee of around £85m in order to lure Erling Braut Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg next summer.

The Norwegian has been in stunning form for Salzburg across all competitions and he has already netted 26 goals from just 18 games for the club this season.

This has already attracted interest from many top European sides but United are deemed to be leading the hunt due to the presence of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who handed the youngster with his debut at former club Molde.

According to AS, Salzburg are unlikely to entertain any mid-season bids for the highly-rated marksman but that may not be the case at the end of the ongoing campaign.

It is added that United are one of the clubs, who have made a tentative enquiry for the player and they have been told to come up with a £85m offer when the season concludes in May.
